That's funny. IW doesn't give a shit about PC gamers.

Let me know when ISP's in the U.S. start giving people unlimited data caps and decent speeds like the rest of the 1st world countries. The only way it'll happen is if Google fiber moves into your neighborhood. Good luck.

Look at my post above. For the most part, those aren't pay-to-win. WOT might have a slight advantage for people that pay for "gold ammo" but I didn't come across them that often and other people usually call them out so you can avoid them or gang up on them to take them out fast.

Team Fortress 2 is excellent and should be the first place anyone looks for a FTP game.

World of Tanks was pretty fun and a nice change of pace until I got to the top tier tanks where I would have to play like 5 medium tier tank games just to afford(in-game money, not real money) the repairs of the top tier tank and ammo.

Hawken is pretty fun but I haven't really gone too far with it because there are (were?- haven't played in a while) only like 3 map...

If the touch pad can be used to aim in FPS's, then I'll agree. I know a lot of people here won't agree since most people here are strictly console players but for people that hate analog sticks for aiming, there needs to be a different option to suit different tastes.

Options are a good thing.

It would be nice if there was an option to be able to use it for aiming in shooters. I don't like analog sticks for aiming in shooters.

Some kid is going to get in HUGE trouble with his parents when he puts their broadband bill through the roof because he went over their cap limit. A lot of people only get 150GB in the U.S.

I first found out about the Oculus last summer and it was love at first sight. THAT is what I want for next gen. This article pretty much summed up my feelings perfectly. Pretty new graphics are nice but I'm to the point that I want more than just that. Nice graphics don't immerse me enough to get me all giddy inside like new consoles used to do. I need something more and the Oculus is it.

Just watch this video:

I think it's more likely that they come out with that projection thing that was reported back during CES.

http://www.youtube.com/watc...

It's nice but it's not the same as the Oculus.

Many of them do it because console people do the same for PC's. What's amazing is that both sides are so blinded by their bias that they can't even think objectively about each side.

Spoken like a true console sheep.

So much ignorance on this site when it comes to PC gaming. I play them all but some of the stuff that gets passed around as truth for PC gaming is laughable.

@lena:
No, spoken like a person that plays them all so knows the pro and cons for both. What Bar_Brothers said is simply not true. I haven't had a driver problem in probably 5 years and that was for a 10 year old product that the company didn't support...

And this is why physical media will continue to exist.

Here in the U.S. there's an oligopoly/monopoly for broadband and they all have low data caps and cost too much. For a lot of people, 150GB is their data limit per month. That doesn't even take into account how slow it is so people would have to wait like a day to even download the game.

Physical disks are here to stay for a while.

This is really the only thing that gets me excited at the moment in gaming- technologically speaking. I don't really care about shiny new graphics. I'd much rather have more immersion than slightly better graphics and that's exactly what this provides. Hopefully they figure things out and it's a success.

Are you sure your mind isn't the one filled with said material?

Why do so many reporters seem to fail to grasp the idea that some stuff needs to be saved for E3 or the same idiot "game journalists" would be saying how horrible the Sony press conference was?

4733d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Did you even read the story? They listed the reasons why it sucks. They are saying the game was made for consoles which means that it was dumbed down and stuff was omitted so it would work on consoles. That's a pretty good reason to be pissed. Would you be happy if one of your favorite games was made worse so it could be ported to a different platform?

To be fair, he'd probably need like a million character limit on Twitter to explain all the things that went wrong. But I see your point. He should have explained it somewhere else by now.

Nice link. I always suspected that to be true but I never knew someone actually tested it out and proved it.

I definitely prefer mouse over stick but I know a lot of people won't put up with it. Don't ask me why but it's the truth. So instead of forcing people to use something they don't like, the industry should strive to find something better that most people can agree on. That's why I suggested the Oculus Rift in my previous post.

Personally, I think analog stick are trash for FPS's but I'm smart enough to realize that different people like different things. Anyone arguing to end either control method is an idiot. Variety is a good thing.

If you want my opinion on where I think FPS's should head for both immersion AND precision, I'd point you to the Oculus Rift:
